Power23 Turbo - Extreme Strength "Power23 should be used where high alcohol strength is the most important thing. Fermenting to 23% ABV in the wash wil increase the still yield by nearly one third! Only use where cool air temperature (between 18-24 Deg.C.) can be maintained. Remember, the more alcohol produced by the yeast, the lower the final distillate quality."
Instructions For Use First prepare water making sure that it is as close as possible to 40 Deg.C. Adjust the temperature if necessary with hot or cold water. Adjust water start volume to exactly 18 litres. Now add 10.4Kg Dextrose sugar and stir until completely dissolved (alternatively, 9kg sucrose can be used but will reduce final ABV to 20.5%). Before opening, massage Part B until lump-free, especially around the bottom of sachet. Open both parts A & B, add directly into the sugar solution and stir well. Rest the lid loosely on the fermenter and leave to ferment between 18-24 Deg.C. air temperature. Above 24 DegC. fermentation will stick. 3 hours after adding the yeast, stir for one minute until the foam/froth head is removed. If this is not done, fermenter contents may overflow. Leave to ferment for 7 days or until bubbling stops (can take 8 or 9 days at cooler temperatures).
VERY IMPORTANT TURBO CLEAR MUST BE USED AFTER FERMENTATION Turbo Power23 contains absorbent materials such as bentonite and activated carbon which will trap unwanted compounds (off-flavours and smells). If Turbo Clear is not used, these unwanted compounds will be released during boiling.
